Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

*he laughed as Hayate asked* To my knowledge, we unearthly beings want to kill her to start the apocalypse, then again thats why I'd want to kill her if I were a demon. Don't know about Legion and the others. *he looked over at Riki, with a devilish smirk on his face* Old habbits die hard, sweets.

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

You'd be the vampire, I assume? I guess we have some common ground there then.
Out of pure interest, what would the point of triggering the Apocalypse? As I recall from the texts where I came from, the general concensus is that you lose. It would be like starting a war you can't win, no?
Hayate smiles sweetly at Sadik, and takes a swig from a nearby bottle

"Aye. If winning was their master's aim." Am stretches slightly. "No, he isn't that foolish. I'm sure there's more to it." Am dives into the pool and disappears as soon as he touches the water.

Is there any particular reason you've managed to get demons after you, or is it more of a hobby?
She nods slightly. "I am afraid there's far more to me than meets the eye.." She finishes off her water and sets the glass on the table.

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Am suddenly reappears, a worried look on his face. "Oh hell, this isn't good. Not good at all."

Ayn 01-07-2004 05:47 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

She glances at Am. "What's with you? Ran out of baby wipes?"

Gale 01-07-2004 05:53 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Am glares and then lets out a chuckle. "Aren't you little Miss Wit? I was only gonna say that one of you enemies got a lot more dangerous, and you'll eventually end up running into them again. Ta." Am disappears again, this time for good.

Ayn 01-07-2004 05:59 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

She mumbles something, a rude little comment about Am, then remains quiet.

"I see you take little heed to gods." Alinos leans in the doorway, it seems he's been watching everyone for a while. He walks over to a table and sits down. "Or to anyone it seems. Thought it could be argued that gaia is something like a god, who knows? Bah, I just enjoy talking."

"Then stop."

Alinos turns to Legion and glares at him.

The Archdemon let's out a nervous laugh.
"Eheh, just a little joke. No harm ment."

"Fear? I'm no longer one of your leaders."

"Ah, how true. I just know only two people can succesfully kill you. Unfortunately I'm not one of them. So I bid you adue." The Archdemon disappears.

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Rikali snarls something irate at Sadik, but her attention is caught by Alinos. She's met him on several occasions, but he was differant then, and seemed to be satisfied torturing Wolf. But this time...Legion backed down before him.

Cracking her neck, she stands and walks over to Alinos.

"We've met, but never been introduced. My name is Rikali." She holds out her hand for him to shake.

Gale 01-07-2004 09:01 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Alinos eyes her hand and shakes it. "Alinos." He breaks away and lets out a sigh.

Fury Three 01-07-2004 09:10 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Fury Three enters through the front door and pauses several steps in to scan the cafe and it's damage from recent days. He shakes his head slightly at the mess and pockets his hands as he continues on towards the bar, walking through the large black mark in the middle of the room.

She isn't rude to Alinos; she can relate to him somehow.. They have something in common, she's not sure what yet.. Maybe it's not important.

"....What could have Am meant..?" She ticks off the list of her enemies, and finds a reason that it is impossible for each to grow incredibly powerful in an instant. "Ha.. He was probably just pissed about the baby wipes comment."

Gale 01-07-2004 09:17 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

"I hope you aren't getting arrogant, kid. Am would of told you if you hadn't insulted him. He's a goodhearted for the most part."

Ayn 01-07-2004 09:23 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

She looks at Alinos, and laughs slightly. She understands what she and him have in common now.. They're both watching the world from perspectives nobody else would ever be able to reach.

Gale 01-07-2004 09:34 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

"You should take a vacation or something, when you aren't recovering you're running off to fight." Alinos was only partly serious, but such a crucial person constantly running at death worried him.

Fury Three 01-07-2004 09:42 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

On reaching the bar counter, he takes a quick head count and opens the swinging door to the back of the bar. For whatever reason, he'd been absent the last couple of days. He finds his stool and leans back in it, propping his feet up on the edge of the counter and closing his eyes. After a moment he opens one eye and looks at Alinos. "Hey, Alinos, you always seem to be here, did I miss anything while I was gone?"

Ayn 01-07-2004 10:07 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

"And where would I go? It seems that everywhere I am there's someone who wants to run me through." She meant the statement as a joke, but the reality of it caused her to sigh deeply.

Gale 01-07-2004 10:08 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

"Well I walked in but a few minutes ago. Earlier Rikali and that newcomer over there were fighting. It seems they've made peace. When I came in Am was babbling about something bad happening but Ayn made fun off him so he didn't tell us what it was." He turns to Ayn. "A valid point, but remember most of your enemies are only in this country. At the moment anyway."

Ayn 01-07-2004 10:12 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Ayn sneers slightly. "He thought it was funny, but he's too damn stubborn and proud to even bother to tell me what's wrong. It's probably nothing anyway."

Gale 01-07-2004 10:15 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

"He's basically a kid compared to the other....well, gods I suppose. He's a little bastard when he's mad, but when he calms down he's decent. As long as you don't start a discussion about something he takes particular intrest in."

Toryu 01-08-2004 12:33 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

While 'gaia' is a new word to Hayate, after hearing Alinos' comment about gods, he makes a small mental note about extending a measure of respect to Ayn.

You sound like you know your way around..ah.. Alinos, was it?
Anyway, I don't suppose you can tell me why, despite meeting atleast 4 demons since arriving here, angels seem thinner on the ground? Unless I've inadvertantly stumbled into hell.

Gale 01-08-2004 12:39 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

"The Angels are rather scarce in this field of reality to begin with, but they dislike to be seen for the most part. There's actually one who's around every once in a while, not that I'd reccomend running into him."

Toryu 01-08-2004 01:19 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

It's the Angel of Death, right? It's always the angel of Death. But I suppose that's an acceptable answer.

He grabs a nearby barstool and perches on top of it, before grabbing his bottle of water from earlier

Spider~One 01-08-2004 04:18 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

So it would seem, stranger. *Sadik glares at Fury Three after the comment to Hayate, puzzled, but holds his tounge* Why are you so intrested in the going ons here anyway? *he takes a look at Reeve to make sure he is okay, he is sound asleep on the couch* *he mumbles to himself: "Looks like he's gone back home''*

Toryu 01-08-2004 04:43 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

As I'm new in town, I would like to find out what's going on before committing myself. Alas, I fear I may have acted rashly earlier. Ah well. What is done cannot be undone.
Hayate shrugs and swigs from his bottle

Spider~One 01-08-2004 05:18 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Hm. I see. Apparently you've come at a rather awkward time. You see, a catashtrophe is bound to happen with all the things pressing our time recently. We are in a perilous time and things are about to get rather violent. In the childrens minds... *he moves his right hand twoard Reeve* ...and violent still in everyone else's lives. *he moves his right hand to ayn and the others.* Still, though, one can never be sure when this armageddon will come about in this small town, though many intresting things are here. Perhaps you'd like a closer look?

Toryu 01-09-2004 02:04 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Hayate shrugs and makes a non-committal gesture

You sound so terribly confident. There's always violence and killing, no matter how hard people try to stop it. By the looks of things, this place has been through alot, and this is just a neutral cafe. What would be the point of starting the Judgement, the Apocalypse? I mean from he point of view of a demon, say, what's in it for you? You lose, it's back to eternal damnation, with a pile of fanatical worshipper's souls. You win, and it's 1,000 years of darkness. Which, all things considered, isn't much.

As for the sights, if they're all due to be annihilated, they can't be that good.

Gale 01-09-2004 07:27 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Alinos pours a glass of water and chuckles at the talk of the apocolypse. He really could care less. He was rather impartial on the matter, thus why he never took up arms.

Spider~One 01-10-2004 03:18 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

You seem to think I'm working for the so-called 'Bad Side'. I really don't care what happens, I've already had my share of life, I just take a joy in finding others to share time and pain with. Alinos is basicly the same way, though not so sure about where he goes and what he does, he dosen't want to get involved with whats already predestined. But, unlike me, I like to have all the fun I can untill this place is engulfed in hell. Though from the looks of it, I may be part of that hell. *he shrugs* Who knows? Alinos, have a take on sides or did I nail it on the head, angel?

Toryu 01-10-2004 03:37 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

A somewhat interesting way to find joy although... hm. I will admit to having indulged in it myself. However, unlike you, I will refuse to belive in predestination. If that is true, then nothing anyone does has an effect, and the universe is meaningless. All self-aware beings have a chance of doing something that defies 'destiny' and sculpting the future. Pre-destination would remove the point of a god, as one who shapes the actions of people. Without a chance of changing their future, it's pointless.

Hayate seems to be quite enjoying debating theology with Sadik. He takes another swig from his bottle and awaits the response

Spider~One 01-10-2004 03:48 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Yes, at one time I thought of it that way, but no one knows if there is a fate or it's all their own actions that determines their future. Your fate could be to defeat a god and have second thoughts about it. 'What if...' is the big question in this fate ordeal. You could pick one direction and swerve to another to say that it wasn't fate but your own choice, though, as fate would have it, your actions are already predetermined, as well as your choices, thoughts, movements, all of it has a consequence planned out. I don't plan on speaking to God anytime soon to find out the answer, but I beliieve there is more than one fate for everyone, though it all ends very simmilarly. There is no way around it, unless you become god by some wild chance. I believe though, that everything is pointless. It's pointless to stop someone from dying if we all do in the end, though it's also pointless to believe in God at one point, instead of waiting to bring your faith to him at another, though waiting gives you a different outcome. I believe predestination is inevitable. We're all simple pawns in life, waiting for our ticker to finally give up. I don't particularly belive in a god, I'm a vampire, I am my own god, though I do the things I do because I want to see the outcome. I've already answered all my own questions because you can only ask yourself for these answers. What did you tell you? Is there a place for us all, or are we all damned? I take the latter. *he takes a breaths and sighs after the long speech*

Toryu 01-10-2004 04:03 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Hayate laughs quietly and smiles
I assure you, I would not have second thoughts about it.
You make an exellent case and I must confess that your points are good.
Are we all damned? It's a hard question to answer. For some of us, we are already living Hell. The thoughts, regrets and sorrow of previous deeds are enough to redeem anyone. You are a vampire, with life eternal. I am... me. If you see your actions as natural and innate, then there is nothing that can condemn you. As someone who was changed into what I am now, I seek to atone for sins long past. I do not see this action as 'pointless'; rather, something that must be done.

Hm. I like you, vampire. You certainly are a breath of fresh air.

Hayate does, however, feel slightly uncomfortable. He hopes that the vampire's prediction of his future was mere coincidence, but says nothing

Spider~One 01-10-2004 08:20 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

*he smirks and says nothing of his ability to partially read minds.* Nice to have a friend again. You said you were a bit on the same grounds as me. You aren't human. What are you, stranger?

Gale 01-10-2004 09:41 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Alinos turns to Ayn. "I have a question, just what power do you have? I mean, besides the elemental abillities."

Spider~One 01-10-2004 10:26 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

*he laughs as Alinos asks ayn* She can live after being beaten, stabbed, bruised, cut, slashed, ect. and she is also extremly lucky to have a healer around her or a compassionate soul. *he snickers to himself and pops his neck loudly from boredom* I-- *he cuts himself off and his ears twitch and he sniffs the air.* I must be going now... *he falls back into a black portal and steps out another one next to Reeve. He grabs the sleeping boy and steps back in and the portal closes and disappears just as a familiar man with dirty blonde, middle-length hair steps through the door in a tattered cape, a left shoulder pauldron and right thigh greave along with a ehart plate for armor. He had a giant blade in a sheath on his back and his eyes were red and blue with a menacing look. Clearly it was Cloud.*

Hm. Thats new.. a person I haven't seen before. *he eye's Hayate and then begins walking to the bar to grab a bottle of whisky. He leans on a wall and sips it, trying to peice together the entire mess, though he had heard what happened.*

Toryu 01-11-2004 11:48 AM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Hayate's somewhat glad that the Vampire has left, he doesn't like revealing too much about himself.
He yawns as Cloud walks in and looks him over. The phrase 'overcompensation' arrives in his mind along with 'melodrama'

Ayn 01-11-2004 11:53 AM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

She glances at Alinos, then shrugs lightly. "I.. I don't really know. Most of the things that I do are out of my control, but I do have control over the elements."

Spider~One 01-11-2004 12:09 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

Never a moment of peace, huh Ayn? *he takes another drink of whiskey and unsheathes the huge sword and leans it on the wall and sits on a chair across from the couch* Never at all.

Ayn 01-11-2004 12:14 PM

Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V

She looks at Cloud. "I'd say it's pretty peaceful right now.. But I get the feeling that Am wasn't kidding when he said something really bad was gonna happen.."
